Congratulations Dessy for finally uploading your video! I enjoyed watching the lesson once more.

Based on the lesson I was noted a few strenghts that i think you should continue to pay attention to and to build upon in your future lessons.

You constantly praised the students for their correct responses. This is particularly important in motivating students to learn. The use of the pictures and audio clips (although not loud enough) was quite authentic and students needed to hear how the names of the sporting activities are pronounced by a native speaker of Spanish. You demonstrated much enthusiasm during the lesson and so students in your class would find what they are learning exciting based on the manner in which it is presented to them and they way you interact with them.

I am sure that your classmates were able to identify some good effects in the lesson.

I also want to point out some general weaknesses in your lesson.
first of all, you did not encourage the students to read the date, and subject in the target language (Spanish. Throughout the lesson, you did most of the talking and did not provide the students with adequate opportunities to use the language (Spanish) in functional ways/ to communicate. One of your goals as a foreign language teacher is to get the students to use the target language to communicate. Perhaps if you had used a dialogue which contained the names of the various sporting activities, students would not have onlu learned the names in Spanish but would also use these names to construct simple utterances/sentences in Spanish. I did not see emphasis placed on the reading writing connection. You had to encourage students to read from their texts. Where was the text?

Canyou explain why you did what you did?

I enjoyed your lesson thoroughly, and learned quite a bit too, and it actually stuck.

I never did Spanish before, and cant say a word in spanish...maybe just Adios Senorita....

I thought that having to incorporate reading and writing, would be a challenge for you, as you had to teach persons with different levels of prior knowledge.

I know that I had none, and if you had gone into something really technical, I would have been lost.

Like Miss said, I didnt see much use of the reading and the writing...but listening to the pronunciation of the words really helped. I guess you focus on the other areas of language arts that you thought would have best helped your learners.

Great lesson Desma. This is the first time I've been in a Spanish class.
Although I was recording and was not too active during the lesson, I enjoyed the pronunciation activity that you did with the students, they seemed to be enjoying it and can I say, it remained with them - long after the class persons were sying the terms.

I noted that there was no reading writing connection. This may have been a challenge and posed problems for the students as many of them do not have prior knowledge. However as we have expeienced in this course, nothing beats a try.

All in all I think the practice was good and we all can learn from each other's experiences.
